I've called this dim sum buffet event a brunch, because it runs from 6am(!!) but wraps up at 2:30pm. This weekend will be the first of regular dim sum buffets at Thai Village Restaurant, with dishes prepared by their highly trained chef from Singapore. Thai Village is a beautifully designed space, full of sophistication and attention to detail. If you love plush elegant spaces, this is where to head for dim sum this weekend.

Sunday 1st October

Freshly Brewed Coffee x New Art and Interiors

Where: Brown Coffee Toul Tom Poung, 175, st.155 corner st. 460, Phnom Penh
When: Saturday - Sunday 6:30am - 9:00pm
Brown Coffee And Bakery

Hok Kang Architects cleverly design each branch of Brown Coffee with its own unique personality, maintaining a freshness and a relaxed atmosphere, a thread of sophistication, and an urban edge. This weekend marks the launch of their latest location in Toul Tom Poung (an officially trendy neighbourhood that must have seen a Brown coming its way for some time now!) Hok Kang have done a number of collaborations with Cambodian artist-architect Sothea Thang at other branches and have teamed up with Thang again by commissioning a new sculpture installation for Toul Tom Poung. This new piece depicts a giant tree branch created from natural hemp rope and iron. "The accuracy of the work’s realism contrasts with the fantastical feelings that its scale and materials evoke." Says Thang. We are big fans of Sothea Thang. If you haven't seen his work up close before, this weekend is a good opportunity to do so while checking out a new space in Phnom Penh, and grabbing a coffee, of course.
